And just as I said, government-sponsored underwriting and subsidies isn't the right path in a free market economy.
Government intervention in this manner is an aspect of socialism.

"Last thing Australia needs 'is another car industry'"
Yeah, because that worked out so well.
At least in Labor-land, it's what they believe.
The writing was always on the wall for a very long time that car manufacturing had no future in Australia - whether it be Mitsubishi, Ford or GM - and I was vocal about it at the time.
The fact the Labor Government at the time was still pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into subsidizing a dead sector with no future, telling people it was saving the industry from collapse, was completely laughable and just more evidence for the history books that the Labor Party has no idea about free market economics, or economics generally.
They never have, as political history proves it.

This inept, useless Labor Government are trying to frame up Australia as some kind of manufacturing powerhouse which can compete with China.
It's beyond words stupid.
The real kicker here is that it took only 24 hours after it was first announced to the public for both right and left media commentariat to call this out for its unrealistic and economically unproven approach.

ABC Radio is dead.
Why are taxpayers still funding this white elephant service nobody even listens to.
Unbelievable waste of money.

I have been ranting on loudly about Australia's depleted defense force for a long time now.
It has reached a point we can accurately now say Australia has no functional defense force and that we are in fact now defenseless, and 100% reliant on the US.
The latter is a chilling prospect as the US is no longer the once reliable international partner.

People that play party politics conveniently forget the Liberal-led Coalition spent nearly a decade sitting on their hands and done nothing with the defense portfolio.
It was truly a lost decade.
If we'd have moved on a lot of projects 10 years ago we'd have had some form of capable defense force right now.
Instead, we're talking about another 10-15 years before any of the big projects come on board, if they happen at all!
That's before we even start talking about the mess that is AUKUS.
As a result of the failed time in office with the Coalition and now with the utter failure of Government with Labor - the declared worst government in Australia's history - we are defenseless.
Coupled with degradation of social cohesion and an extremely worrying increase in religious intolerance in a multicultural nation, we are in a right mess.
Australia is unrecognizable and I don't know where we go from here.
I wish I had more confidence and optimism, but I don't.

Australian politicians and citizens have become so obsessed with exerting its sinophobia, by seeing China as the 'enemy', they've forgotten the real enemy is themselves.
Australia was once the most free country in the world, yet over the past 10-15 years they've done nothing but obsess over the non-existent China threat and eroded the freedoms they once advocated as fundamental to a free society.

Peter Dutton announcing yesterday he will support an increased push for more censorship has undoubtedly lost him much support and possibly votes too.
As it should.

No matter which side of politics you launch a debate about conscription, you ain't got any chance in hell of getting enough support to reinstate conscription in any form.
And I can tell you right now you wouldn't have many people complying either.
Don't you idiotic politicians get it?
Fix and define, and commit yourselves to protecting Australia's values and principles.
Right now we have nothing left.
You've destroyed everything and are actively destroying what little may be left that's worth fighting for.
Then, and only then, can we have a sensible debate about why anyone would join the ADF and be willing to defend the country.
Right now nobody knows what's left to defend.

I'd really appreciate it if the Australian Prime Minister from Kmart would stop accusing all men of being woman beaters and woman killers.
We're not all abusive monsters.
