Really puts into perspective Russia's objective of rocking both sides of the political sphere.
If overall the goal is to 'dumb down' society, I'd say they've been very effective.
Because there's not an ounce of collective intelligence anywhere.

I don't know for certain, of course, but my guess would be China is abusing known access points which are usually used by US intel.

There is a degree of Western paranoia here.
The US and China equally engage in cyber espionage activities, targeting each other and their adversaries' allies.

Yet another government report, spewing the same tired conclusions.
It's the same old song and dance for anyone who dares to question the government's narrative - stifle their voice, brand them as right-wing fanatics, all the while turning a blind eye to the far-left's flagrant violations of civil rights, their sowing of discord, and their propagation of falsehoods and animosity.

I'm no expert on mobile-to-satellite technology, but it seems to me that China is progressing its development at a much more rapid pace than the West, which itself regularly brags about its state-of-the-art achievements.
In addition to AI, mobile-to-satellite development is a hot industry right now, and competition to prove excellence over competitors is fierce.

Big tech companies should resist government demands that compromise device and software security through weakened encryption.
Prioritizing security and privacy, they should be willing to withdraw from markets where governments attempt to impose unreasonable requirements that could lead to unjustified access and systemic vulnerabilities.

The US is right to call out the UK over its attacks on encryption, but let's not forget that the US has its own history of engaging in similar attacks on information security and privacy.

Unfortunately, the author (from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute) approaches this article from a sinophobic and pro-censorship perspective.
This not only invalidates many of his points but also leaves the piece a chaotic and self-contradictory mess.
