The ignorance of the US and its inability to think outside of its own delusional bubble hurts China-US relations more than China's tendencies to lash out diplomatically.
The US should grow up.

The US might want to seriously consider the wider, global implications of such a move as the potential to send the global economy into freefall is real.

So the US can put spy satellites into space and it's ok but when China do the same thing it's a problem?
And you wonder why China and most of the West hate you.
American idiots.

China is forming friendly foreign relationships with many European nations.
Its relations with Europe is shaping up to be more reliable and more friendly than those with nations in the Asia-Pacific.
Take notice, because this matters.

China won't admit it thru State-sponsored media like the Global Times, but what has really upset China is that together with Australia and South Korea, Japan has called out continued cyber-attacks against critical infrastructure, which have supposedly been enabled by Chinese sponsored entities, including its Ministry of State Security.

China sees Japan's engagement with NATO as an attempt to bring NATO-related affairs into the Indo-Pacific region, which inevitably pulls in the US even more than it already is, by default.
China is also upset about Japan's increased military upgrades and expansion, to combat the continued rise of China.

And BOOM!
This op-ed points out precisely all the points I make about China's qualms with NATO.
China emphasizes NATO is not an alliance for peace, but a "war machine" and does nothing to promote peace and security, instead serves to destabilize global security.
China also says, in the op-ed, NATO "needs to continuously create more enemies and greater crises to sustain its existence", placing emphasis on the question of whether NATO has a prolonged existence, suggesting it should have been disbanded after the end of cold war.

China is no longer even trying to hide its operations of tracking Taiwanese freedom activists.
It's broadcasting the operation, publicly doxxing activists' names, and asking for public assistance related to them.
This is totally unacceptable.
