Finally something I do support.
If social networks needs to be forced, by legislation, to implement better mechanisms to fight scams and fraud on their platforms then I'm all for it.
At the moment, their efforts to combat scams and fraudulent activities is pitiful.
I've reporting known scams and fraud on both Meta and X, and nothing has been done.
Ads appear on Meta selling what is clearly fraudulent services, yet Meta simply respond with a bot-generated response which says there is no violation of the platform's policies.
X isn't any better.
I've reported ads for fake crypto and other financial scams, and also reported weed being openly sold through ads on the platform.
All of the reports have been returned with the usual bot-generated response which, again, says there is no violation of the platform's policies.
They have the ability to combat this stuff but the problem is they've become so reliant on bots and AI to do the work for them it's now extremely rare that an actual human looks at reports to make a proper assessment, and take justified action.

Yep!
I've no idea what purpose the Prime Minister serves anymore.

Powerfully written, as always, by Gemma Tognini.

What's the bet China starts doing secret deals with Australian colleges to fund the construction of new on-campus accomodation to cater for the continued flow of Chinese students.

Laura Tingle is a taxpayer-funded biased idiot working for a taxpayer-funded government biased propaganda machine.
She fits in well there.

All this has resulted in one heck of an identity problem, for Australia.
I think that was always going to be the case after embracing multiculturalism for half a century.
That's not to say multiculturalism shouldn't happen, however it has created a societal divide which is tearing the very fabric of society into shreds - creating divide, tribalism and tension.
Australia doesn't have a national identity of our own, we really don't.
And that's a big problem.
Because without a national identity of our own, how can we possibly define a set of principles and values that are worth protecting?

This goes to the very core of what I keep repeating - that the reason Australia's defense force has a recruitment problem is that we've lost sight of our values.
Nobody understands what we stand for, if anything!
Without values, what is a nation?
It's nothing more than a populated landmass.
It starts with education at the earliest of curriculums.
I fear we've abandoned education of democratic freedoms, values and principles for so long, in favor of green-left virtue signalling, that we may have lost an entire generation of national identity.

"The great dumbing down", indeed!
Smart devices are not the problem.
It's ignorance of the weak-minded.

This is another example of how over-regulated Australia has become with red-tape, and why we can't get a single project completed.
Of 449,162 registered construction companies in Australia, only 568 have been authorized to work on government projects building homes, simply because of unnecessary red-tape.

This is terrible!
Prioritizing yoga instructors, martial arts practitioners and dog handlers over construction workers, with importing skilled workers.
Seriously, could this government get any more incompetent?
