Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
There's a lot of talk about Australia having a Trump-like revolution at the next Federal Election.
It's an entertaining thought, but it's not going to happen.
Australians are too woke-left.
Polls still reflect that to be the case.
Labor will win the upcoming Federal Election, again, with a minority, hooking with the green-left bloc to form government for a second term.
There will no Trump-like revolution.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Well, would you look at this!
I've been pressing the issues surrounding PsiQuantum and the secrecy of the details of the deal since it was first made public.
It forms part of the "Future Made in Australia" industry agenda, however the company is American, and ultimately serves the interests of the US.
It is in no way Australian and its funding was negotiated in full secrecy, and is still being kept secret.
The new Queensland State Government is now reviewing the State's funding of PsiQuantum and might possibly shut it off, due to all of the same issues I've repeatedly pressed and the secrecy surrounding the company.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
It's time the Australian Terrorist Party (aka Australian Greens) start considering a leadership change.
Adam Bandt has not just transformed the Party into a domestic Terrorist-supporting organization, but has tanked the Party's voter support base.

The Misinformation Bill will designate ACMA as the pseudo Ministry of Truth, yet the problem is they don't actually want the responsibility of fact-checking that comes with such role.
So who does want it?
Apparently no one!

It doesn't get any more authoritarian and controlling than this.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
For several years I've been saying Australia has been modeling its tightening and control of information flow on China's censorship machine.
There was a period we used to call out China.
Now, it's a model template for Western censorship, and it's pathetic.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
This is a poor decision, by Peter Dutton.
It's the second major policy area now that he has backflipped on.
He's really revealing his own hypocrisy, and for someone who is in Opposition, that is seriously bad judgment.
Voters will notice.

Chris Bowen's climate zealotry and anti-nuclear energy policy has completely embarrassed Australia, and is sending the country's energy grid into the dark.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
These Reserve Bank interest rate board reforms are a bad move.
It's just cleared the path for the Government to stack the new board with political allies.
These reforms will seriously cull almost all independence the Reserve Bank once had.
Labor continues to reform Australia's bureaucracy into an oligarchy.

The insanity collective that is also known as the Australian Government continues its assault on big tech.
I'm sure big tech execs roll their eyes whenever Australia is mentioned now.
