Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
The Australian Government just legalized the biometric profiling of your children and is now faced with the challenge of how to implement it.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Peter Dutton is making the exact same mistake every other opposition leader has made, by waiting too long to announce an alternate policy platform.
Also, he lost a lot of support from even rusted-on Liberals by supporting the social network bans.
A very bad move.

Yes!
How many times does it need to be said before the Australian Government understands that creating a regulatory multi-layered spiderweb is the leading cause of more investment leaving the domestic economy than is entering it.
The economy is not just stagnant, but living standards are going backwards, fast, and citizens are becoming very discontent.
This should worry the Government.
But it clearly isn't worried because it caused this economic crisis.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
No, the Prime Minister needs to stop constantly blaming the media for his own failures.
Perhaps the Prime Minister needs to accept that he's not leadership material and has been recognized by the majority of voters (according to multiple polls) as the worst Prime Minister is Australia's history.

Alexander Downer nails the current political climate with absolute precision.

The Australian Government's excessive new spending and obsessive spending habits have been devastating to the economy.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics

This is so wrong!

The only neo-Nazi here is the leader of the cult that is the Victorian Liberals, John Pesutto.
State and Federal level, there is not a single political party in Australia that is willing to stand up for free speech anymore.
Moira Deeming did absolutely nothing wrong, and was proven in court to have done nothing wrong.
Yet she is expelled from the Victorian Liberal parliamentary party.
Australian politics is totally rotten at its core.

Sound advice from one of Australia's finest independents, Andrew Wilkie.
Deals being done between independents and parties goes against the wishes of voters who cast their vote for an independent in the first place.
