According to latest Guardian Essential poll only 32% of Australians are satisfied with the state of democracy in Australia.
For a nation which prides itself on 'democracy', it's a terrible result.
Although it's also no surprise, considering I've been writing about, and warning of, the issues that have brought us to this point for a decade.

Yesterday proved to me something I'd not previously realized.
That being, the right can be just as woke as the left at times.
The right have got themselves into quite the state over some chocolate eggs being labeled as "Gesture Eggs", citing a decoupling from Christianity.
The right are unhappy about it but they appear to be forgetting that not everyone is Christian and in-fact Christianity in Australia is a minority cohort.
I think the concept of "Gesture Eggs" is quite clever, considering the majority of people do not celebrate Easter for any religious reasons as most truly don't actually care about Christianity - or God or Jesus - generally.
But it's become a trend for the right to start getting themselves into a hysterical state over pointless things like this.
Sometimes I think they walk around looking for things to claim as being woke, making them just as woke as the left for doing so.
Hypocrisy all around.

Australia is switching posture on border security to a heightened status, as speculation suggests it could be on the brink of a new wave of illegal arrivals by boat, from people smugglers selling false hope through lies.

Seems others are starting to agree.

But here's the real spoiler; this isn't the first time I've suggested European-style minority governments will become normalized, in Australia.
I said how the injection of the Teal Cult would change the political landscape for the foreseeable future.
And I repeatedly said Anthony Albanese would take the Australian Government to the far-left.

What a ridiculous proposition - asking Meta to do the job of police and monitor posts on its platforms and take down those that may appear to be engaging in criminal behavior.
Meta is a platform provider, not a police force and a court.
Sadly, when law makers and law enforcement run out of ideas and lose control of social order, they just blame Meta for everything.
It's become a predictable pattern - just blame Meta.
Law makers and law enforcement need to do their job better.

This really does shoot straight at the heart of left-wing politics and the hypocrisy on climate change.

You don't have to be an expert on energy to see the problem here.
New energy generation requirements are lagging behind demand, and going backwards.
With base load generation of coal plants to be retired in ~15 years or around, we have big problems when it comes to energy generation.
One source of the problem is governments lying to you, telling you it's OK because solar panels and wind farms will fix everything.
It's a lie based on dreams and pixie dust.

If capitalism and a free market economy are so good and work, why do governments have to continually underwrite and subsidize everything?
