Fatima Payman is laying the groundwork to establish a new Australian Terrorist Party.
But don't worry, it's "democracy", she says.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
According to latest polling, three times as many respondents blame the Federal Government for the cost of living crisis, than those blaming global geopolitical influences.
The Prime Minister blames global geopolitical influences as the primary cause of the crisis.
There you have the great Government-Voter disconnect.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Most Australians are not infuriated by the fact a pointless condolence motion couldn't foster bi-partisan support, rather are infuriated that valuable debate time is being swallowed up in the Australian Parliament by an international matter of which has nothing to do with domestic politics that actually impacts us.

Absolutely on point!
I keep referring to the systemic censorship of the global pandemic because it's the best example of what we are facing if the misinformation Bill is allowed to pass.
It must not be allowed to pass and must be stopped.

Both sides are now, instead, completely focused destroying our freedoms.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
One of the worst aspects of political debate in Australian politics, in 2024, is the debate about 'Work From Home'.
Of all the critical issues that are affecting Australians right now, the fact this stupid and pointless ideological debate has taken a center stage is simply insulting to everyday Australians.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Well at least someone is paying attention and realized how much Australia has deteriorated in the last decade+.
But I'm sorry to repeat myself, but like I've said over, Australia as we knew is gone.
We're done, finished.
It's irreversible.

Re: [Australian Politics] Australian Politics
Peta Credlin and other Sky News commentators have engaged in their fair share of calling for censorship on opinions they don't agree with, so there's an element of hypocrisy here that I just can't ignore.
However, in the case of the Misinformation Bill, yes of course it must be opposed and defeated.
