This is outrageous. :x
Removing references to maintainers on the basis they are Russian is totally unacceptable.
Linus Torvalds or Greg Kroah-Hartman need to explain this decision.
The FOSS community cannot stand idle and remain silent on this issue.
Bad decisions, no matter who makes them, need to be called out.

Personally, I think it's so disappointing the Linux kernel source code is being weaponized in this way, based on outside political influences which really have nothing to do with Linux development.
